Moon Sweepers 1.0.5 adds Move Mode: press R with the Building Tool to pick up a piece and everything standing on it. Attached belts follow where their length can reach. Use the current placement prompt to confirm a new position, then inspect every affected connection before resuming deliveries. S04S17
Official Move Mode controls
| Action | Default control in the 1.0.5 announcement |
|---|---|
| Pick up a piece with the Building Tool | R |
| “Put it back,” in the developer's wording | Right-click |
| Switch to removal mode | X |
| Leave Move Mode | R or Esc |
| Start moving with a gamepad | Y while in removal mode |
Follow your current binding or prompt if controls differ. The announcement supplies the controls above; use the in-game placement prompt to confirm a relocation rather than treating the put-back control as a documented new-position confirmation.
Prepare the relocation
Record the current source-to-intake route and identify any pieces stacked on the one you intend to move. Pause new input where practical, then inspect the material already on the affected belts.
For a valuable base, keep a dated save copy before a substantial rearrangement. The route planner can record intended segment lengths and endpoints, but it does not inspect the game's terrain or move buildings for you.
Place the piece and recheck the route
- Equip the Building Tool, enter Move Mode using the current prompt and move the intended piece.
- Inspect stacked pieces that follow it and connected belts as you reposition.
- Place it down; check the source connection, any joints and the final receiving endpoint.
- Follow a small load across each changed connection.
- Confirm intake entry and the registered sale before restoring the full input.
The belt-following rule is limited by reachable length. It does not promise that a long factory move preserves every joint. If material stops after relocation, begin at the first changed connection rather than rebuilding the whole route.
What if I remove and rebuild instead?
The official 1.0.5 notes say removing pieces returns the full price. Advice describing a 75% refund belongs to an older rule. Confirm the installed build before budgeting a removal. S04
A full refund does not establish that stored material, vehicle state or every nearby attachment is preserved during arbitrary removal. Use the move procedure where appropriate and check the current machine prompt before choosing a destructive action.
For connection order, return to automatic dust selling. For a route that moves capsules but does not pay, open conveyor not selling. The update guide records the version that introduced these controls.
