A full Capsule Catcher calls for an outgoing route check and an occupancy check across its group. Its official capacity is 100 kg from 1.0.4. In 1.0.5, J.O.O.N.A.S. prefers the emptiest catcher in the nearest group and moves to the next group only when every catcher there is over 80% full. S03S04S17
One full catcher does not mean a full group
| Two-catcher example | What the documented rule implies |
|---|---|
| 100% and 25% | The second catcher is a less-full target in the current group |
| 95% and exactly 80% | The official “every catcher over 80%” condition is not yet met |
| 90% and 85% | Both exceed 80%; this meets the documented next-group condition |
The percentages illustrate the rule, not observed game trials. With 100 kg capacity, 80% corresponds to 80 kg per receiver. Catchers within the documented 100 m distance form the described group; that distance is not a stated robot launch-range limit.
Follow the material out of the receiver
- Inspect the catcher output and the start of its belt.
- Check direction arrows and the first joint that material does not cross.
- If several belts merge, inspect the common outlet.
- If processing is inserted, check that machine's inputs, power and output.
- Follow the route to the station's receiving intake and confirm sale registration.
If reception continues while material accumulates, additional robots increase the incoming workload. Repair the stopped outgoing stage before using a larger robot count to judge the route.
Should I add another catcher?
An additional catcher increases available storage by 100 kg under this baseline. It may also provide another target in a receiving group. It does not increase the capacity of a downstream belt or blocked processing outlet.
Compare occupancy over the same timed interval before and after an output fix. If reception still fills available storage despite a working onward route, an additional receiver gives you a configuration to compare. Use the ratio and cost examples to budget that change; the guide-reported catcher price is $1,500. S07
Why are capsules going to another factory?
Inspect every catcher in the nearest group. Once all exceed the threshold, next-group delivery is consistent with the official 1.0.5 behavior. It is not by itself proof of a failed robot. Record group occupancy and which receiver actually receives the next launch.
For a robot that produces no launches, use J.O.O.N.A.S. stopped working. For material that reaches the station but does not pay, use conveyor not selling.
