Quick answer

Calculate the game currency needed for a belt line, one Packager and a Building Tool. Untick equipment you already own. The calculator is free, needs no account and uses editable prices; the default values are reported by existing guides, not measured by this site. S07S08S09

Estimate the in-game build cost

Game currency only

How much game currency should you save for one Packager and a belt route? Include the Building Tool only if you still need it. The $ symbol below is the game's currency; this guide is free to read. Use the equipment prices shown in your game.

Route equipment and current menu prices

The interactive estimate requires JavaScript. Reference: 20 m with a new Tool and Packager costs $160; if you own the Tool, $110.

Defaults: reported values from S07–S09. Edit prices and the section limit to match your build. Item costs are rounded to two decimals. No junctions, terrain survey or throughput estimate is included. Share links contain only these inputs.

How to calculate the purchases

Enter the total belt length, read the current equipment prices in your game and choose which items still need buying. Update the estimate to see each cost, the total and a theoretical minimum section count. Copy a report or a link to reopen the same inputs.

For a route with turns or separate connections, use the route planner. It counts the sections of each run separately, checks the connection order and sends the selected route length and prices back here.

Formula and rounding

Belt cost is total length × price per metre. Purchase cost is belt cost + the selected Building Tool cost + the selected Packager cost. Each item cost is rounded to two decimals before adding it to the total; this is a calculation convention, not a claim about the game's checkout rounding.

Theoretical section count is ceil(total length / maximum section length). This lower bound does not account for turns or blocked terrain. Splitting at a turn may require another section even when the total length stays the same.

Example: a 20-metre line

Reported defaults are Building Tool $50, Packager $100, belt $0.50 per metre and a 30-metre section limit. Change them to match your installed build.

What you still need Equipment 20 m of belts Total purchase estimate
Tool and Packager $150 $10 $160
Packager only $100 $10 $110
Belts only $0 $10 $10

Before spending game currency

  • Confirm the required equipment and prices in the current game menu.
  • Walk the route, note turns and check where the final belt will meet the receiving intake.
  • Test a short line before extending it. See automatic dust selling for the connection checks.

What a shared estimate contains

A share link contains only the tool's numeric inputs and selected purchases in its URL fragment. It does not contain a saved world, account details or an in-game terrain survey. Anyone with the link can read its inputs; changing values on this page does not update an earlier copied link.
